Illustration Seminar II/Illustration VI: Rework an old assignment, make something you'd want to put in your portfolio. The oldest piece in my portfolio is Fire in the Sky, so I wanted to see what it'd look like if I redid it, completely.
I looked at the old version, and there is a considerable improvement. Normally, when someone makes a new version of an old artwork, they tone down the colours to make it more realistic. But here, you managed to do a better job with even brighter colours again
I like this render of the buildings much better than the old one. The color scheme I liked better on the old one, the nuetral tones really set off the sky, this one is a bit too red allover. And, you completely ignored the important critique made by Ayln in your old piece.
Very dramatic angle and lighting too!
