My first cards for Legend of the Five Rings! Yay! These are for the new set (it won't be out for a while). This is an Artisan for the Crane Clan of the Doji family. Hopefully they'll email me his name once it is written out. =) Hopefully I do more of these, it was a blast.

L5R, Crane Clan, etcetc, is copyright Alderac Entertainment Group.

The way the kimono is crossed...right shoulder to left hip is for those who are dead (deathseekers, corpses being laid out for funeral cremation, etc.). =)

I *think* the reasoning behind this has to do with samurai 99% of the time being trained to fight (and duel) right handed, so the kimono is crossed so that the fold can't ever accidentally catch the back end of the hilt as the katana is drawn.

Another beautiful piece, you definitely have a strong sense of color and composition. Again, the only criticisms would be (and I cringe at giving them) are that the arms look a touch long and the face could be a little more narrow for a Rokugani.
