Poseidon, for Troll Lord Games' Castles & Crusades: Of Gods & Monsters by Jim Ward.

Poseidon is the god of the sea, depicted with his signature trident and as a merman.

This was definitely the most time-consuming. I'm a tad burned out right now, head spinning... tomorrow hopefully I can start/finish Hermes, which is highly unlikely...

Absolutely stunning. I actually can't remember the last time I've a digital painting in B&W! This great! I really love the water surge and the details on Poseidon's fin. However I do have a slight problem with the cropping of the painting. I think you should have left a little more space open around the subject, just because it's such a dramatic scene, I feel like more should be seen, even if it's just water and sky. Also I wanna see more of that trident!
