Hades is the greek word for the underworld. The God's name is actually Pluton.

Not really, Hades is also the greek name for the King of the Underworld, not just the Underworld itself. Pluton is Hades' roman version.

Actually ,Hades refers to both the underworld and to the God. However, since the Romans worshipped the same gods as the Greeks but called them by different names you may be thinking of his Roman name which is Pluto.
